DISTRICT COLLEGIATE EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT AND REVIEW COMMITTEE


Background:-


                                      As per G.O.Ms.No.27 District Collegiate Education Development and Review Committees were Constituted in 2010 in every District by the Govt of Andhra Pradesh.


Objective:-


                                      To Strengthen, Expand, Monitor and review the activities of Govt. Degree Colleges in the District. To implement various activities this COmmittee has involved related Govt. Departments like Roads & Buildings, Municipalities, Social Welfare, Transport, Employment Office etc.


Constitution:-


                                      District Collegiate Education Development and Review Committee is headed by the District Collector and Magistrate as Chairperson. The Convenor is the Principal of Identitified College. Member Secretary is senior faculty of identified college. All the eight principals of Govt. Colleges in the District are also the members. At Present Additional Joint Collector is the Nodal Coordintor of District Collegiate Education Development and Review Committee. From 2010 onwards District Collegiate Education Development and Review Committee has conducted six meetings. The last one was conducted on 28-12-2012. There are eight Govt. Colleges in the District. They Brought their General problems to the notice of the chairman.
                          Tranportation Facility to the students, Incompletion of hostel Buildings, Minor Repair Works, Drainage, Water etc are some of the problems brought to the notice of District Collegiate Education Development and Review Committee. This committee in its review meetings orders the concerned department about the action taken report.
